Alpha Mask test



A test of my rolling sky. it add colour to the scene which looks nice but it doesn't quite fit with the camera angles as the sky doesn't match the movement.

Ambient Occlusion test render

Test render ambient occlusion MR sky



This is a test with ambient occlusion. The general effect is nice, everything looks very clear and the eye isn't targeted at one object. The shadows are nice and soft to give a realistic feel. this has massively killed the render time. Comparing this to the graphite effect, the render time is 15 times longer per frame meaning 800 frames would take 11 hours. I need to think carefully about timing myself and which look i want to go for.

Graphite animation test



I've been having massive problems with shadows in places they aren't meant to be. I don't have any lights in the scene and my render without graphite effect doesn't show shadows. It is also hard to read the road signs which defeats the object of the project as it's meant to be a navigational piece. I have to re think how i'm going resolve this issue and have gone back to me original idea of having everything white to give an ambient occlusion effect.

Day 2 of modelling




Day 2 of modelling went okay. quite time consuming but the end product has been successful. the poly count is still relatively low but its getting there.

Rail station wall and carriage




First day modelling for client project. Has gone well so far, some issue with modelling the car as it was my first go at it. Poly count is pretty low for the scene so far due to careful modelling.

This is a preliminary test for the water fountains. This is a small version of what it will look like and yet the render time is too long. This will have to be done seperately the composited on top of the animation using after effects.
